FixMyAd ("FixMyAd," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered video ad analysis service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you sign in with Google or a magic link, we receive your name, email address, and profile image.
Content you upload. The video files you submit for analysis, along with any metadata you provide (title, product description, target audience, platform, and ad goal).
Derived analysis data. Transcripts, extracted video frames, scores, and AI-generated recommendations produced from your uploads.
Payment information. When you purchase credits, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we retain a Stripe customer ID, transaction records, and the last status of each purchase.
Usage and device data. Log data, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, and product analytics events (for example, sign-up, upload, and report views).

2. How we use your information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
To process your video and generate your analysis report.
To process payments and manage your credit balance.
To send transactional emails (sign-in links, payment confirmations, and analysis-ready notifications).
To send marketing emails only where you have opted in; you can opt out at any time.
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing and third-party sub-processors

To deliver the Service we share data with the following sub-processors, each only to the extent necessary:

OpenAI — transcription and AI analysis of your video content. Your content is sent to OpenAI's API to generate transcripts, scores, and recommendations.
Cloudflare R2 — storage of uploaded videos and extracted frames.
Stripe — payment processing.
Resend — delivery of transactional and (where opted in) marketing email.
Inngest — orchestration of background analysis jobs.
PostHog — product analytics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded video content to train our own models.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Your uploaded videos, analyses, and reports are retained so you can access them in your dashboard until you delete them or close your account. You may delete any analysis at any time from your dashboard; deletion removes the associated report from our active systems. We retain transaction records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We also use analytics cookies (via PostHog) to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you, your consent (for marketing), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and we do not sell your personal information.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
